My Why

Memories and the re-telling of those memories are ultimately what we carry with us. And every time we retell, the memory changes slightly. Our memory of the memory becomes a culmination of what we remember to re-share and what we unintentionally (or intentionally) forget to add. What if we could capture that story accurately exactly as it was?

I’ve always been fascinated by the idea of taking and storing mental snapshots, trying my hardest the capture everything about that moment. Not just what I was seeing, but what I was feeling - experiencing - in myself, in my body.

Through art in the form of painting and photography, I’ve found the joy of reliving experiences viscerally and translating narratives into timeless pieces.

Commissions

    1. The process starts with an interview. I want to be brought into your experience or story, and all of the emotions that accompanied it. I want to know the primary meaning you'd like captured in the painting, what you want it to evoke for you.

    2. We'll talk logistics: the chosen location for the painting, desired size, and timeline for completion.

    3. Review: there will be 2 stages of verbal and written revisions.

    4. Completion and delivery.

  • Commissions range from $3,000 - $10,00 depending on size, materials used, shipping, and desired concept.

  • My “pre-made pieces” are those that simply express my own experiences and ideas — with no specific person in mind, but with the invitation to connect with it as you wish. These are my independent creations that are waiting for a home.
